New Chord Shapes

The cousin of Am : A and A7 . For basic beginner application, they are often interchangeable in key of C major.

A chord
A7 chord

Am -> A -> A7 transformation, one note at a time!

A more powerful version of G chord

G chord (with D note on 2nd string), try it, it sounds POWERFUL!

And now, something sophisticated !!

G/B chord
Gm/Bb Chord

From G to G/B to Gm/Bb. The name looks intimidating, but the visual of the chords are much easier to digest. Just learn by heart for now, the sound of them will be picked up by your brain real quick.

Try the following *chord progression : C – G/B – Gm/Bb – A …. sounded real nice right? I bet the emotional appeal this progression produced will help in memorizing the shapes.
